Letter From Scotland With Yusupha Bojang

President Barrow, please stop the creeping in of elitist technocratic style of governance in The Gambia. Our elected representatives (MPS) should be the political masters of the people not unelected and unaccountable private Gambians.

President Adama Barrow
Let the people who pay the salaries of the governors directly decide who exercises power over them and on their behalf.
The Gambia needs a new constitution to start afresh not a layer after layer of unelected unaccountable groups of people. Qualifications are not certificates to rule over the people

Let’s start the national conversation leading to what kind of democracy we want to have in The Gambia. Democracy is a representative form of governance and technocrat picks and chooses of whoever is not a representative democracy
