THE BIGGEST INTERVIEW OF 2016 COMES TO PLAY IN 2017

In what was the most sought after interview in June of last year, Gambian Journalist, Tijan Masanneh Ceesay put Fatou Bensouda and the ICC on the spot with his clever questioning relating to what was happening in The Gambia under Yahya Jammeh. It was during that interview that Mrs Besouda said, quote, “I will not be instrumentalized.”

Yahya Jammeh is an evil
Mass grave uncovered
Unquote. She also on more than one occasion said the case of The Gambia did not warrant an investigation. With all the known killings under Yahya Jammeh’s orders, most people who heard that interview were baffled by those comments

. Fast forward today, with all the graves being exhumed in broad daylight, what is her position today? Does the situation warrant an investigation now? Is her office requesting for the extradition to the ICC of all these criminals leading investigators to the graves? Why up to today, she has not made any statements regarding the proven atrocities of Yahya Jammeh? These are questions that not just Gambians should ask, but the international community too.

Today, I hold my head high for facilitating the technical aspect of that great interview that has left the ICC Chief Prosecutor with no choice but to act based on what she said in that interview. The interview is attached for you to hear her in her own words again.
